LOOKING BOTH BACK AND FORWARD

Hi everyone,
Another year is running to a close and it's time to reminisce. We can look back on very turbulent year for Disintegrate.
2009 kicked off with the departure of Rob from the band. Enough words were spent on this, and it still is one of the all-time lows in the band's history. Fortunately 2009 brought us a lot of highlights.
We released our first cd "Destructive Capacity", which received some incredible reviews. We also got the opportunity to replace Austrian band "The Sorrow" as an official support for Brazilian thrash-legends Sepultura.
Sander Stegeman joined the band on a permanent basis, completing our line-up and strengthening it even more. With Sander in our ranks, we made it into the finals of the "Kleine Prijs van Friesland", being the only metal band to ever make it that far. The first half of 2009 was finished by a performance on the legendary "Wâldrock" festival. It had always been a dream of us to play there and to see it come true is perhaps the greatest highlight of this year.
After the summer we continued with lots of performances, with the Freeze Festival and some headlining shows as other highlights. We also released our first official video, which can still be viewed here.
To bring the (already) awesome year to an even better close, we were nominated for the "Frisian Talent Award", being the only nominated metal band. We did not win the award though, but being nominated felt as a victory to us.
But enough looking back. Let's look forward to 2010.
In 2010 we will release our debut-album! It will contain 11 songs, including some songs we haven't played live yet. Details like a title, track listing and artwork cannot yet be given, but we will get back to you in 2010. Be prepared for some awesome surprises.
And last but not least: we want to wish you all a merry Christmas and all the best in 2010. We hope to see you all soon!

DISINTEGRATE NOMINATED FOR "FRISIAN TALENT AWARD 2009"

Disintegrate is nominated for the Frisian Talent Award 2009. An official jury will decide who the winner is going to be. The award ceremony is part of the POPid musicians day, and will be held on the 19th of December in Sneek, Holland.

Upcoming Performances
We have some peformances coming up in September. We will finally make our appearances on the Freeze festival this year. We will hit the stage at midnight. We will also perform at the Gekletter Festival in Buitenpost. Our performance will start at 23:00. Check out our livesection for all the dates dates.
Wâldrock
It's been over two months since our last performance, at the Wâldrock Festival. We had the best time ever rocking the main stage. We were pleased to see so many of you showing up and giving us a very great response. Thanks! You can read some reviews on our myspace.
Video for Mediacrity
In June we shot our very first video for the song Mediacrity. Currently it's in the last stages of completion and it will probebly be out early september. Keep your eyes open for it. It will be awesome!
New Album
We are currently hard at work on our first full-length cd. At this moment we are in writing mode, composing some kickass melodic death/thrash metalsongs. At our performances in September we will play some new stuff, so be there. We hope to start the pre-production within a few months, after which we hope to enter the studio in late 2009.
